Goofy Wiener Dog Giveaway

Okay, here's the deal...I made this weird, goofy wiener dog one day when I was feeling under the weather...the end result I'm not happy with...but I can't just throw him away. Instead I'm giving him away. Visit my facebook page at www.facebook.com/mirandascritters to enter by making a comment about the Goofy Wiener Dog Giveaway album. Premo Polymer Clay Keychains

Sometimes when I need a quick clay fix, I'll dabble with tiny little crazy critters. Below are some of the crazy critter keychains that I sculpted last week but didn't find time to finish until yesterday. I'll be listing these little cuties in my etsy shop. I have to say, the little flying piggy is my favorite of the bunch :) Enjoy!

My son graduated from high school this past weekend. It's hard to believe how quickly time flies by. One day he was my little boy swinging from a tree branch (the point of time that he was appointed the nickname, Monkeyboy or Monkeyson) and the next, he's growing a beard, dating & setting his eyes to the horizon. I found a little time in the week before his graduation and ensuing celebration party to create a Graduation Monkey for my son. It had a spot right next to his diploma on the party table :) Enjoy!

Help from other bloggers

Hi all,

I just noticed that the gadget I used to show my Flickr photostream at the top of my blog no longer works. Anyone out there have detailed suggestions on how to fix it or use another gadget?

Thanks!

Where oh where does the time fly?

What? It's already mid March? I'm not sure where the 1st three months of 2012 went to but it seems like they just went "poof" and disappeared. And not that I'm complaining (well maybe just a little bit since I wanted to play in the snow), but where did winter go to too? It was around 80 degrees today here in Ohio. Weird.

Hmm...

At least I've been busy with my clay critters. Very busy. Some days my head feels like it's spinning with all the new critter ideas and orders that I've been getting. Not complaining there by any means :)

I did finally put my big girl pants on this year and submit two tutorials to Polyform Products for their use. One is an owl, the other is a cute dog. The dog was used in an online ebook by Polyform on their website. It may still be available at www.polyformproducts.com . Just search for the newsletter section.

I want to find a world map and start tracking where my little critters have went to live. Some have went to New Zealand, Australia, The Netherlands and all over the US. Looking forward to sticking a pin in the different locations.

I promise (with a shudder) that I'll do better updating on here. I'm pretty sure I've said that before..hehe. I'll be posting pictures soon as well of my current critters that I'm working on. In the meantime, feel free to check some of them out at www.facebook.com/mirandascritters or check out the critters I have listed for sale at www.mirandascritters.etsy.com .

Still a bad blogger.

I'm still terrible about keeping my blog up-to-date. Must be the summer and having so much to do. It certainly was much easier this past winter when it was unpleasant to get out of the house. Nothing like sitting in front of the computer sharing my thoughts & deeds then :) I think to get back on track, I'll share a poem and some recent critters. Maybe that will atone for my blogger slacking. Maybe not.

"Bumblebee"

The busy buzz of bumblebees
Floats upon a summer breeze.
Bewitching drone of a hard day's work
Carried on the winds of hope.

With legs bedecked in clinging socks of pollen
Busy bees bumble along the meadow.
Never picky, be it petunia, dandelion or pansy
The ceaseless work continues.

Life renews in this fellowship garden
The sweet nectar of the purest flower
Provides a honey of a living for
The gold & black striped visitors.

I just remembered that I can't share pictures on here right now because all my recent ones are on my laptop :) Go figure..hehe. But I can share a link to my newest album on Facebook with you if you care to stop over there for a looksie!
